HOW IT BEGAN
Corporate Cubicle to Superyacht Chief Stew
Ten years ago, I was climbing the corporate ladder, wondering if “this was it.” Despite my successful career, I was constantly dreaming about my next vacation, but found it impossible to save for both holidays and a house. My vacation fund stayed stubbornly low, and I was convinced I couldn’t have it all.
I discovered the superyacht industry, handed in my resignation and left my “stable” career behind. Yachting opened my eyes to a world of year-round travel, endless adventure, and financial freedom I never thought possible. I learnt from the industry’s best and rose to the position of Chief Stew in just three years.

When I was first breaking into yachting, I struggled with creating a standout CV, nailing interviews, and building relationships with recruiters. I knew there were many ways to find jobs, but I was clueless about executing them effectively.

It was knowing how to stand out, showcase my skills, and convince yachts I was the ‘perfect fit.’ I refined my strategies, and soon, everything changed. I started landing interviews daily, receiving multiple offers, and even had my “bucket list” boats reaching out. That’s when I decided to teach aspiring stews everything I’d learned to help them achieve the same success.

Fast Forward to Now
Since then, I’ve worked with over 100 aspiring superyacht stews helping them turn their dreams into a reality. I’ve built an online community of tens of thousands, offering honest guidance and support, and hosted events for the steward/ess superyacht community around the world.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that the ‘safe’ route after high school is university, followed by an entry-level job and a lifetime of climbing the corporate ladder. But what if you could have it all—career success, financial stability, and the freedom to travel the world? The superyacht industry offers a rewarding alternative, proving that adventure and success aren’t mutually exclusive.
With minimal living expenses onboard, yachting offers the chance to build wealth faster than you ever imagined. Picture this: owning properties and a car, loan-free, with enough savings to make your wildest dreams come true. All this without the burden of student debt, family loans, or bank overdrafts. When you know how to navigate the industry, yachting is your ticket to financial freedom.
When people first hear about yachting, it can seem like an impossible dream. They might think it’s only for a select few or have heard stories of those who didn’t make it. But the truth is, landing a job onboard isn’t as complex as it seems - when you have the right guidance.
